Grand Central is a railway station in Dauham Sammar Hazaham. It is the buisest railway station in Phaluhm Phoueck.

Grand Central is the most important railway station in Phaluhm Phoueck. It services the Phaluhm Islands line which has services to Kota Kambular station and Wikas station.

The station is originaly built underground in 1948. It was built using the cut and cover methord. The station was refurbished in 1966 after some damping and heating issues. In 1979, the station was at its worst state, as the station was in the brink of collapsing. In October, it was deamed too unsafe and then was closed.

It was finally reopened in 1982. It was again built underground. It was rebuilt using concrete beams and foundations.

In 1994, the central air conditioning failed and customers complained about the heat in the station. In 2005, customers protested for a new Grand Central Station.

The offices which was blocking the new station was demolished in 2006, and a brand new station with modern facilites was unvailed in 2012, under the old station. In 2011, the tracks leading to the tunnel to the old station was demolished. In 2012, the old station turned in to a shopping mall, Bonnifican Underground Mall, which is connected to the new station above.

In October 2012, the station was opened to the public and have met positive reviews. It was said that it was the most modern railway station according to The Rail.

Original Station[]

The original station was built in 1948, using the cut and cover methord of construction. The station was refurbished in 1966 after an civil inspection. In 1979 the station was at its worst state, as it was in the brink of collapsing. In October 1979, it was deamed too unsafe and then was closed.

It was finally reopened in 1982. It was again built underground. It was rebuilt using concrete beams and foundations. In 2005, customers demanded a new station and then in 2012, the new modern station was built.

Trains terminate underground unlike the modern station which terminates overground. The old station was turned in to the Bonnifican Underground Mall which is connected to the new station

Modern station[]

The new modern station was designed by Libertan architect Karl Hitzlsperger, who also designed several other buildings in the capital.

In October 2012, the new station was open to the public and have met positive reviews. It was said that it was the most modern railway station according to The Rail. The old station turned in to a shopping mall, Bonnifican Underground Mall, which is connected to the new station above.
