Phaluhm Airport

Phaluhm Airport (IATO: DSH - ICAO: RDDH) is the main international airport for Dauham Sammar Hazaham. It is Phaluhm Phoueck busiest airport, as it counts up to 95% of passangers landing or interchanging at Phaluhm Phoueck. It was once called Dauham Sammar Hazaham airport, but it was changed in 1992, to Phaluhm Airport to shorten the name. The airport opened in 1936, as a military base, and was transformed to a passanger airport in 1952. Phaluhm Airport then had a complete redesgin in 1969, 1986 and in 2012 where an additional runway and terminal was built.

The airport is currently the main hub for Air Phaluhm, FlyPhoueck and Southeast Airlines. It also serves as a regional gateway and connecting point for various foreign carriers. The airport is located at North Dauham Sammar Hazaham. It used to be a grassland area but with terraforming, the grassland was terraformed to meet runway standards. The 2012 terminal one building was designed by Tuttalan Jahn. It was constructed primarly by Usev Contractings. The airport has two terminals. Terminal One  Sourcehas an area 67,000 square metres (720,000 sq ft) and Terminal Two has an area of 189,000 square metres (2,030,000 sq ft). The passengers served was 9,784,980 as of 2014.

Terminal 1 is the main terminal of Phaluhm Airport. It can be accessed by taxis and buses. The Terminal is capable of handling 18 million passengers per year and is equipped with the following facilities:

  • 100 check-in counters for international flights
  • 80 baggage x-ray check-in machines and 60 hand luggage x-ray machines.
  • 60 immigration counters (30 for departures and 30 for arrivals)
  • 10 baggage carousels
  • 3 floors, ground: arrivals, first floor: airline offices, second floor: check-in counters and departures)
  • 20 aerobridges
  • 15 aircraft parking bays capable of accomodating wide and narrow body aircraft.

Terminal 2 is the secondary terminal of Phaluhm Airport. It can be accessed by taxis, buses and the metro station. The terminal is capable of handling of 10 million passengers per year and is equipped with the following facilites:
  • 60 check-in counters for international flights
  • 40 baggage x-ray check-in machines and 60 hand luggage x-ray machines.
  • 40 immigration counters (20 for departures and 20 for arrivals)
  • 10 baggage carousels
  • 3 floors, ground: arrivals, first floor: airline offices, second floor: check-in counters and departures)
  • 15 aerobridges
  • 7 aircraft parking bays capable of accomodating wide and narrow body aircraft.

Ground Transportation Edit

The airport is easy to get to. By car when passing Fahahaon in the M2, exit by Junction 10. Its metro station, Phaluhm Airport station is on the Green Line. Their is also a people carrier to Grand Central Station, making it easier to go places in Nazahezan, Kambular and Nuybuey. Buses and private taxies also operate at Phaluhm Airport
